ENERGY

The growth in global demand for energy continues at a rapid pace. However, supplies of crude oil and natural gas are becoming more difficult to obtain and costs of exploration and production are rising. These factors are driving record high prices for crude oil.

At the same time, concerns over possible global warming as well as about dependence on imported petroleum products are leading to an intensive search for alternative, less carbon-intensive, sources of energy. In addition to nuclear power, many new energy sources are being investigated, including solar, wind, wave power, biofuels and geothermal.

Our research into global energy, provided by five analysts in three countries, covers all aspects of these trends: fast-growing oil and natural gas producers in North America and worldwide; domestic and international energy service companies; and alternative energy technology and resource developers.
