Alistair Toward is a Research Analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners, covering a mix of Junior and Intermediate Domestic Oil & Gas Producers. He came to Thomas Weisel Partners in January 2008 as part of the Westwind Partners acquisition, after joining the firm in 2005. Alistair is based in Calgary. Previously, he was Energy Research Analyst for Clarus Securities, Research Capital Corporation, HSBC Securities and Gordon Capital Corporation. He has also worked in a corporate development and financial analyst capacity for UTS Energy Corporation. Before working in the E&P space, Alistair spent five years in Investment Banking in Montreal with Gordon Capital Corporation covering a variety of sectors, including Communications & Media, Forestry, Transportation, Technology and Biotech. He received a B.Comm. in Finance and Real Estate from McGill University and was awarded his CFA designation from the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR).
