John Quarles is a Vice President and heads the Venture Capital & Private Equity Coverage at Thomas Weisel Partners. John joined the firm in 2006 and is based in San Francisco. Prior to joining the firm, John was a Senior Associate Analyst at Citigroup and a Research Analyst and Assistant Portfolio Manager at Macke Asset Management. Previously he was a Business Strategist at Scient and a Business Analyst at Anderson Consulting. John served in the US Navy as a SEAL. He received a BS degree with Merit from the US Naval Academy and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
