Dr. Matt David is a Vice President in Healthcare Investment Banking at Thomas Weisel Partners with over 5 years of experience in Investment Banking and Equity Research. Based in San Francisco, Matt joined the firm in 2008 and focuses primarily on the biotechnology and specialty pharmaceutical subsectors. Prior to joining TWP, Matt was an Associate in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Piper Jaffray and an Associate in the Global Pharmaceuticals team within Lehman Brothers’ Equity Research department. Prior to starting his professional career, Matt completed a residency year in the Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Hospital, spending time primarily in general and vascular surgery. Matt received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Dartmouth College and his Medical Doctorate from NYU School of Medicine.
