Eamon Hurley is a Managing Director of Energy Investment Banking at Thomas Weisel Partners. He joined the firm in 2008 and is based in Calgary. Prior to joining Thomas Weisel Partners, Eamon was a Vice President & General Counsel at TAQA North Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (“TAQA”), where he was instrumental to its entry into Canada and the building of TAQA’s presence through the execution of several acquisitions. In addition, Eamon has spent the last 10 years exclusively practicing energy law as in-house general counsel for Unocal Canada Limited and Northrock Resources Ltd. Eamon received a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 1993 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1994.
