David M. Beatty is Deputy Chairman and a Managing Director of Metals & Mining and Energy Investment Banking at Thomas Weisel Partners. He came to Thomas Weisel Partners in January 2008 as part of the Westwind Partners acquisition, after joining the firm in 2002. David is based in Toronto. His prior experience includes more than 21 years of experience in Investment Banking. Before joining Thomas Weisel Partners, he was a Managing Director and Head of Metals & Mining at First Marathon. His prior experience includes working for Gordon Capital, Morgan Stanley, New York, and Citibank Canada. David holds a B. Comm. from Queen’s University, an MBA from Harvard, and a M. Phil. from Cambridge.
