The Product Management group is responsible for the strategic planning of technology implementation through research, investigation and discovery of new and existing technologies that benefit Thomas Weisel Partners both firm-wide and on a specific business unit basis. Engineering Services provides engineering and operations support to all offices. In addition, Engineering Services is responsible for the systems infrastructure design and the engineering of all Windows and Unix server hardware and software.
The Support Services group is responsible for the development and support of Workstation Systems and Application Builds. This group also is responsible for all Network and Telephony support and Media and Infrastructure services, which support audiovisual media and cabling requirements for all locations.
Trading Systems Development provides development and support of trading and market data applications to ensure a reliable, efficient and automated electronic trading environment. The group provides an end-to-end solution to all trading floor users.
Business Systems Development is responsible for enterprise data base and customized applications such as Research Publishing, Contact Management, Commission Manager, and Earnings Estimate Data Base. The group also is responsible for the design, development and support of web site applications and services in the Internet and Intranet segments.
