Thomas Weisel Partners analysts complete a three-week introductory training program upon joining the firm. The training program focuses on developing both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. The first week of training is devoted to financial accounting and is taught by a business school professor. The remaining two weeks of the program focus on teaching Associates how to build and analyze company earnings models, synthesize information and data in order to write company reports, conduct original research and effectively communicate ideas.
While we offer a comprehensive training program to get you started, most of the training is done on the job. Thomas Weisel Partners’ best-in-class program is focused on continuous training and development and includes a monthly speaker series, regular best practices workshops and ongoing industry teach-ins and panels.
